Early morning at the balcony. A curious coincidence make that jet contrail as a sharp turn (probably there were two) trace. Joining this with the bright warm colors of the rising sun and the cold blue sky, as well as the absolute calm of that moment make this image noteworthy for me. Hope for you too!

I was intrigued by the description of a small lake close to Bardonecchia (NW Italy), called “Green Lake” because it should look green, so I went there to check how much green it was… and it was a lot! The color is caused by a sort of green seaweed on the lake bottom. It is shallow, and the water is very clear, so the color of the seaweed is very, very evident, as you can see here. A wonderful walk in an enchanting valley.

Trey Ratcliff is one of the world most known HDR prhotographer, and his site “Stuck in Customs” is very famous and appreciated. I have done this urban image with the idea of doing it in a similar way like he could have done it (maybe? Only Trey could tell!).

I was wandering in Haute Provence – South of France, when I found this beautiful mountain. It remebered me the famous “El Capitan” rock in Yosemite National Park (this one is smaller, anyway) and the Ansel Adams images, so I stopped and found a good location where take this shoot, of course in black and white like the Master.This is a tribute to him and his art.

There was still some morning fog in the countryside when I saw these couple of trees and the sun almost covered by the clouds. The feeling was, one more time, silence, loneliness and mistery. The noise of the shot was the only one to disturb the muffled atmosphere. Magic.

Early morning after the biggest snowfall of the last 20 years here. I was fascinated by the symmetry given by the trees and the garden seats. Also the “sky” done by the branches was intriguing. The image is b/w, but there were so little different colors, that also in color would have been almost the same.

Coming back home and looking to the opposite side of the upcoming setting sun, I saw these hoar frosted trees and their background. The dark sky behind was too much appealing to just look and forget, so I quickly stopped (it was really cold) to take this shoot , an unperfect one, but -again- I liked too much the colors to avoid taking this one.

Looking to the sky I saw this color contrast between the evening blue and the reddish clouds. I moved to a position where the winterly naked trees could be included in the image. They added a sort of silhouette and texture to the image, so to avoid a picture quite similar to a flag reproduction. I see this image both graphic and abstract as well as a style research picture.

Early morning (I like this period of the day), travelling in coutryside, I saw that abandoned farm. There was still snow on the ground (even if not just fallen down). I was intrigued too by the solitary and naked trees: there’s a sum between the empty building, the lonely trees and the flat white ground. Loneliness maybe the right word to describe it

Seen that the global warming effect seems to reduce the amount of snow which falls in winter, a future Christmas card image shooted in locations similar to this one (Lanzo Valley) could look alike this: trees with no leaf, just evergreens emerging from the quiescent nature, nothing white. The necessity of a more balanced approach towards the environment become more evident day by day, as pointed out by these kind of indicators too. The fact that this image could be considered appealing from the visual point of view is another story.
Early morning, going to work driving in the Asti area, the first silent mists were all around me. I decide to stop briefly to take some pictures. In my mind the evanescence of the far background, the few trees in the middle and the soft sunlight render well the idea of the upcoming autumn season.
